MG S5ev: battery matters

 Most people that worry about EVs (usually non-ev owners) are concerned about range

...and therefore its the traction battery that comes under scrutiny.

But, possibly rather surprisingly, its the 12Volt system battery which seems to cause most breakdown issues.

Bluetooth Audio Transmitter Repair

We recently had a problem with our Insomniacs Bedside Radio.

The Bluetooth pairing button seemed to have shifted position within the box, causing it to be jammed on.

So time to open it up and reposition it, or so I thought.

ZeroLiPo: Pi push-button battery power control

The ZeroLiPo is a Lithium-ion Polymer battery power manager for the Raspberry Pi from Pimoroni.

It does not handle battery charging, it simply converts the LiPo 3.7Volts to 5Volts, and provides a low voltage alarm.

Although I've had one of these for ages, I've only just considered using it, possibly for my Bat Call Logger.

Making the case for the StupidPhone

A couple of months ago my Smart phone started playing up, then it stopped working as a phone.

It seemed to develop a hardware problem whereby I was sending more noise than speech.

So I had to decide whether to invest £100+ in a new Smart device, or consider the alternatives.

Having assembled the system to a point where it can be tested with a lead-acid battery, I now feel confident that I am well on the way to a viable bird box.

There is still quite a bit of work left to do, but I don't expect to trip over any last minute show-stoppers.

However, there is an issue with image size which is yet to be resolved.

Yongnuo Wireless Remote Control WR-159

We just bought one of these little wonders for a Canon 1100D. Great price, nice box, but no instructions.

OK, so it may not be the most difficult bit of tech, but I see others on the net searching for an instruction manual, so this may help someone.

I couldn't find a "WR-159" on the Yongnuo website, but they make a YN-159.
