Olympus OM-D Firmware Updates: not using Windows or Mac

We love our 3 Olympus OM-D cameras.

 

But I was less happy recently when I wanted to update the firmware.

However, I've now found away around my problem.

Site-Specific Browser: goodbye Midori

A Site-Specific Browser (SSB) is a program or application that is dedicated to loading and exploring a single web site.

I have been using Midori for this purpose, but having just updated to Lubuntu 17.10, I find Midori is not available!

So I went looking for an alternative and found the Gnome browser "Web" (a.k.a. Epiphany).

Lubuntu 14.04 upgrade

As Linux upgrades go, this one was pretty painless.

 

Since fully switching to Linux early in 2008 I've been through some good releases and some not so good.

Sometimes it is down to your hardware, and how good or bad support is for your particular wireless module or graphics card...
