Raspberry Pi Audit via SSH

The Raspberry Pi only came into existence in 2012, but there are now quite a few models and variants.

I seem to be having problems keeping track of which Pi boards I've installed in which projects.

So I have created a reference list of Pi boards by serial number and version.

The RaspberryPi model B+ mark 2

I've just been given a new Raspberry Pi.

It is my 10th Pi and my first mark 2 board, the Raspberry Pi that is claimed to be 6 times faster than a B+.

So it is time to check it out and also measure the current drain using the same test conditions that I've used for my other models.

The RaspberryPi model A+

Following on from an earlier post about the B+, I'm now the proud owner of an A+.

As I'd previously produced a simple table showing relative current consumption, I feel obliged to update this by including the new Pi.

The new A+ is smaller and cheaper than the A/B/B+ models, making it an ideal candidate for many projects including media players and headless, wifi monitors.

I feel like the last kid on the block to get one of these new Pi models.

But here are a few comments and observations on the latest product from the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

This is my 7th Pi which now includes models A, B rev 1, B rev 2 & B+.
