Most of the time I listen to the Radio Caroline album channel.
But once a month, Radio Caroline North transmits from the Ross Revenge.
How can you receive these broadcasts if you are not within a reasonable distance of the transmitters?Radio Caroline North's association with The Isle of Man goes right back to 1964, when the m.v. Caroline sailed around the southern coast of England and then anchored in Ramsey Bay.

Caroline did a lot to make the Isle of Man a popular holiday destination back in the 60s.
This relationship with the Manx people endures today, such that one weekend a month, Caroline and Manx Radio combine forces. Caroline DJs go out to the Ross Revenge, anchored in the River Blackwater, and their live programs are transmitted on 648kHz covering East Anglia and on Manx Radio's frequency 1368kHz covering much of the north west.
there are 3 Radio Carolines!
The main 'album' channel normally transmits on 648kHz and via several internet streams (each one providing either a different level of quality or a different encoding method, i.e. aac or mpeg). This is generally my channel of choice.
There is also a Caroline Flashback channel (internet stream only) which plays only singles from the 60s & 70s. I can't listen to this all day, its just a bit too much.
Caroline North also covers hits from the 60s to the early 90s, and is packed to the gunnels with Caroline jingles. But the programs on this channel are very listenable, and I think it is because there is so much more energy and enthusiasm when the guys are on the ship, often with a bunch of people visiting via one of the Ross Revenge boat trips.
If you are within range of either of the two transmitters, good for you. But for me I have to select a different stream on one of my Pi powered radios (such as kitchenPi).
EDIT: Although I used the Manx Radio stream up until recently, I now use the dedicated Caroline North stream:-
You can also go to the Radio Caroline website on your computer or phone and select any of the three channels via Radio Player.
